Care for Christmas
We barely know you. We see you rarely for split seconds as you rush through your life, thoughts and actions channeled at something besides us. We can see you don't care and don't have time, but do you realize that yourself? I hope this is just a phase, that someday, hopefully soon, you'll slow down. You'll give yourself the time to come a little earlier, allowing even just a moment to sit and catch up, to ask questions, to make jokes, to play a few games, to discuss a good book, anything to bring us close again. For a bit it was great. You talked, you listened, you asked, you loved us and our friends. Now you don't recognize faces, notice changes, remember past conversations. Maybe you'll care for Christmas.
