I spoke in Church
Awesome. I was asked to give a talk in Sacrament Meeting today. My goal was to say what I wanted to say without saying more than I know. In church I tend to kick into the somewhat brainwashed-6-year-old testimony where I say what I know should be said. I tried to speak slowly and carefully so that only what I believe and feel good about came out of my mouth, nothing more. It's really not a big deal, what I could have said would be doctrine, most likely, but some things I just don't know for myself right now, and I feel dishonest if I teach something and don't believe it myself. I think the congregation probably felt what I was doing, and maybe it scared some of them, but I felt honest and good about it. Cool.
